I don’t think I had even one second to blink and the next thing I know holiday decorations started filling the stores! Yes, it’s already that time of the year and it will be here before you know it. I know, I know; it’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but hey, how can I help it! We all know that during the holiday season our belt buckles are not the only thing that gets looser but so do our wallets. It isn’t news to say the best way to not go overboard is to set a budget and try your hardest to stick to it.
At the same time, who doesn’t like to spend a little extra or buy a special gift that might cost a little more? After all, ‘tis the season!
Here’s a question for you: How can you save some money but still get a great gift?
Answer: Your Calendar!
This might be a surprising answer but yes, your calendar can save you money! There have been some predictions floating around this year regarding what will be the best dates to purchase some items over the next couple of months during the holiday season. This is where your calendar comes in!
Tuesday November 22nd: Best day to find the steepest discounts on clothes online
Thanksgiving Day: Best day to shop for sporting goods, gadgets and jewelry
Black Friday: I think this goes without saying… the best day to shop for everything
Tuesday November 29th: Best day to get the biggest discounts on furniture and bedding
Make sure to mark these dates in your calendar. You can save a couple bucks and still be able to get a great gift. Think of it as a little holiday gift you give your pockets. Take advantage of the savings and if you are really a go-getter, take the difference between what you would have spent and what you saved and feed it back to your savings!
Consumer’s Insider P.S.- If you haven’t noticed by now, I’m also a super-fan of Amazon. So, if you’re like me you’ll want to keep in mind that if you’re looking to purchase items from Amazon and wanted standard shipping delivery before December 25th, mark your calendar to place your orders by Monday December 19th.
Stay well and happy shopping!
